Our favorite Halloween treats

When it comes to themed snacks, nothings beats Halloween! Everyone gets a free pass on sugar consumption and the theme of the holiday translates so well to food and drink presentation. It’s the one day of the year no one is grossed out by the idea of eating things shaped like eyeballs and brains or gulping drinks garnished with worms and spiders.

Halloween is a holiday of excess and that’s why the most fun snacks get created on this day. We went in search of the best food and drink ideas for Halloween, to get your creativity flowing and inspire you to do something similar in your venue. But don’t worry - we've included some healthy snacks in there as well!

Sugar and spice and all things nice

If there’s one Halloween staple that is on par with pumpkins and pumpkin spice, it’s definitely sugar. No one wants to receive an apple in their trick-or-treat bag!

But there are much better ways to enjoy a sugary snack on this day than candy corn and gummy worms. You can make delicious sweet treats that your customers won’t be able to resist - and there’s a way to dress them all up in Halloween costumes!

Cake pops, cupcakes and cookies are super easy to whip up and make great additions to your counter. They are sweet and delicious treats your customers can have for a quick dessert or grab to take away as they’re paying - and you're spoiled for choice when it comes to adding the Halloween touches.

Meringues are easy to make and when shaped to look like ghosts, they become the perfect Halloween snack! You can also use meringues to transform a regular cake into a spooky Halloween classic.

Bark is another fun dessert idea - and you can put all that Halloween candy to good use by adding it to your bark mixture!

Eat your greens (even on Halloween)

Halloween isn't just about sweet treats though! You can incorporate the theme of the holiday into your savory snacks as well - from little bites to main meals. You can plan a special menu for the day, or offer little themed nibbles.

If you're stuck for ideas, just remember that you can't go wrong with pumpkin on Halloween - pumpkin soup, roasted pumpkin seeds, pumpkin loaf - there are so many different things you can create!

Who says sushi, sausage rolls and pizza can't get in the holiday spirit as well! You can easily dress up these timeless snacks to fit the theme of the day and create really adorable treats.

No matter what cuisine your venue offers, there's a way to get it ready for Halloween.

Ditch boring old fries for a day and offer spooky vegetable chips instead!

Double, double toil and trouble, fire burn and caldron bubble

Themed drinks are an excellent special to offer for Halloween. If you run a bar or a licensed venue there are plenty of cocktails you can make that fit the day’s theme.

If you’ve got an ace bartender who is familiar with molecular mixology, you can really add some flair to your drinks menu! Or if you want to keep it a little simpler, using fun garnishes and vibrant colors will get your drinks looking the part. And don't think pumpkin spice is just for hot drinks either! You can mix up pumpkin martinis as well.

Then there are all the delicious non-alcoholic drinks to create. Pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin smoothies, monster shakes topped with Halloween candy, and Halloween themed latte art are just some of the other ways to get your drinks in the holiday spirit.

And if you start planning nice and early, there are plenty of other fun and creative Halloween themed drinks your venue could offer. Check these out:
