Lesson details

Erik Lorincz was the 10th Head Bartender at the American Bar at The Savoy, London. His expertise and passion for cocktail making has seen him work in top cocktail bars, movie sets and for fashion brands around the world.

After completing his studies at hospitality school in Slovakia, Eric attended a competition in Prague and found his calling. After enrolling in a three-month bartending course, Erik went on to become a bartender at Slovakia’s first ever cocktail bar.

Spending three years shaking and stirring up cocktails, Eric decided to move to the United Kingdom in search of new heights. Arriving in London not speaking a word of English, he enrolled in language school during the day and spent his evenings collecting glasses at a nightclub. Then, in 2006, Eric joined the team at Nozomi where he had the opportunity of leaning bartending techniques and tricks from Japanese bartending legend Kazuo Uyeda.

After learning from the masters, Eric headed to The Connaught where he created the concept of combining cocktails with fine champagne. Then, in 2010, he became the 10th Head Bartender at the American Bar in The Savoy, London. Heading up this prestigious joint for almost eight years, Eric helped the bar top the World’s Best Bar awards in 2017.
